Using Timelines

Consistent writing usually involves guiding the reader, through a series of events related to the plot. When writing it is often easy to get lost in the order of events and timelines, go some way towards helping manage when events occur. Timelines do however tend to lead to procrastination if you are that way inclined, so they should be used in moderation, usually during the outlining stage to define the flow of your story.
